There may not be much dancing going on these days, except for the virtual kind of course, but planning for the 2023 Ottawa IAGSDC convention is forging ahead full speed and this month’s meeting of the committee included lots of planning and decision making for the great unveiling in July.

Committee members reviewed the final draft of our official convention logo. (Sorry but we can’t show it to you yet. Top secret… Hush hush… Need to know…) But it’s a beauty and we can’t wait to show it to you.

Josh Yoder, our volunteer coordinator, reported that he’s already been contacted by several dancers but many more are needed to help out with tasks both before and during the convention.

If you have some time and skills to lend us, regardless of where in the world you live, reach out to Josh using the form on the Volunteer page of our website. There’s a full list there of what’s needed.

Other topics that were discussed were things like merchandise, advertising, fundraising and venue/hotel blocks.

All in all it was a very productive meeting by an amazingly talented bunch of dancers which is why we still believe that Ottawa 2023 will be the best convention EVER!

Stay tuned for some more promotional materials and information about our beautiful capital city and all the amazing things you will get to do when you come visit us.
