Signature Event – Dancing on Dow’s Lake

Dance the night away on the shores of Ottawa’s magical Dow’s Lake

When: July 4, 2023 – 5pm-10pm

Where: Club Lago, Dow’s Lake Pavilion

The Ottawa 2023 convention will be offering an exclusive signature event with limited seating so register now to reserve your spot.

Featuring an evening of fun and dancing at the tastefully appointed Lago Bar & Grill on the shore of beautiful Dow’s Lake, this event will include a cocktail reception with an Independence Day theme, a gourmet buffet with carving station and several hours of excellent square dancing to two of Canada’s best square dance callers, Tim and Brian Crawford (ie. Crawford²).

Come celebrate the fourth of July with your fellow Americans and your friendly northern neighbours as we kick off the best IAGSDC convention ever in Canada’s capital.

Additional details:

Dress code: Independence Day casual
Continuous bus service to/from the host hotel (the Westin Ottawa) starting at 5pm and meal served at 5:30pm
Your first cocktail is on us!
Two dance floors calling SSD through C2
Dietary restrictions and allergies can be accommodated if notified at the time of registration
All profits will go to All Join Hands Canada

Dow’s lake is one of the most beautiful areas of Ottawa and features paddleboat and kayak rentals, relaxing walks along the scenic Rideau Canal and in the Ottawa Arboretum and it is only steps away from the famous Little Italy neighbourhood so come early and explore one of Ottawa’s favourite tourist destinations.

*Cancellation policy: Until June 1, 2023 you can cancel for a full refund minus $25 admin charge or you can transfer it to another dancer at no charge.

Registration

Transfer
- Convention registration can be transferred to another person before June 1, 2023 by contacting [email protected] and providing the new person’s information.
Cancellation
- Cancellation requests must be sent to [email protected].
- Before June 1, 2023: A refund, minus a $25 admin fee, will be processed.
- After June 1, 2023: No refunds, however the Fun Badge tour can be transferred to another registered attendee at no cost.

Tours

All tours are transferrable. Tours are cancellable (with full refund minus $25 admin fee) before June 1, 2023 with the exception of the Fun Badge Tour which is non-refundable.

Merchandise

All sales are final. No refunds or cancellations.

Note: Some items require us to collect additional information about each item (ex: dance level, meal choice, first and last name, etc…). For these items you will need to add them one at a time to your cart and specify the correct information for each item. Example: First and last name of the person going on the tour.
